Structural Integrity Services Branch, within Central Engineering Support, provides inspection, materials, structural analysis and plant lifetime management services to ensure the safe, reliable operation of the company’s fleet of nuclear power stations.
Working in the Inspection Group, within Structural Integrity Services Branch, you will be supporting the remote inspection/operations activities on our nuclear power stations. Your normal duties will be based at Barnwood, Gloucestershire, working a 37 hour week both in office and laboratory environments. Working at our Power Station and other sites will also be required which may involve extended day and weekend/public holiday working, entry into radiological areas, working at heights, high noise environments and in confined spaces.

An opportunity exists for a high calibre HVAC or Building Services Engineer within our Central Engineering Support Function at our Barnwood office. Working within our Gas and Auxiliary Plant Group you will be an experienced engineer undertaking a key role in providing technical support to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our Nuclear Power Station Fleet.

This position is one of oversight and stewardship, and large scale project experience is required. An in depth knowledge of heavy civil projects such as bulk earthworks and reinforced concrete structures is essential. Familiarity with nuclear civil engineering standards: ETC-C and ETC-F and concrete standards: BS EN 197-1, BS EN 206-1, BS EN 8500 and UK Building Regulations is required, with experience on the implementation of safety and environmental regulations.
